Chess Lore
Chess Lore is an isometric puzzle adventure designed to teach you how to play chess from scratch while you explore a mysterious castle full of challenges.
You do not need to know chess before playing. Each room introduces the rules, movements, and logic of the game in a natural way, turning learning into part of the adventure. Instead of reading manuals or memorizing lessons, you learn by solving puzzles, avoiding dangers, and thinking carefully about every move.
The story follows Chester, a brave little pawn who must advance through the castle to defeat the evil Crystal King and fulfill his destiny: becoming a king himself. Every room is a strategic puzzle where chess comes to life. Enemy pieces threaten the board according to their real chess movements, forcing you to observe, plan, and find the safest path forward. Push objects, block attacks, collect keys, escape traps, and discover how each chess piece works as you progress.
Inspired by classic 8-bit isometric games, Chess Lore combines retro charm, puzzle-solving, adventure, and chess learning in a fun and accessible experience for players from 0 to 99 years old.

ChessMare
ChessMare continues Chester’s journey after the events of Chess Lore. Now crowned king, Chester is struck by tragedy when someone deeply important to him vanishes and every one of his subjects is abducted by a dark cult devoted to an ancient deity.
While pursuing the cult, Chester uncovers a terrible secret. His search takes him beneath the castle into an ancient underground sea filled with mysterious islands, hostile creatures, forgotten ruins, and countless enemies. To rescue every piece in his kingdom, he must cross this lost world and reach the distant fortress of ChessMare.
The adventure retains the chess-based logic of Chess Lore while introducing new puzzle mechanics, new forms of movement, and more varied ways to interact with each room. Familiar dangers return alongside new enemies and challenges that demand observation, planning, and an even deeper understanding of the board.
Inspired by classic 8-bit isometric adventures, ChessMare expands the original game into a larger, darker, and more ambitious journey through a strange subterranean world.
ChessMare is currently in development. Its world, mechanics, puzzles, and visual direction will continue to evolve as the project grows.
